Effective date: 1 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SportSphere HQ ("SportSphere", "we", "us", "our") collects, holds, uses, and discloses personal information in connection with:
SportSphere HQ (ABN to be confirmed).
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where we hold personal information about individuals located outside Australia, we also aim to meet the standards described in Section 11 below.
A note on scope: the Privacy Act 1988 generally applies in full to organisations with annual turnover above AUD $3 million, or that fall within certain other categories regardless of turnover (for example, health service providers or businesses that trade in personal information). Regardless of which category we fall into at any point in time, we have chosen to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles as a matter of policy, because it reflects the standard we think our subscribers are entitled to.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service. Questions can be sent to support@sportspherehq.com.
3.1 Information you give us directly
3.2 Information collected automatically
3.3 Information we generate
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (as defined under the Privacy Act) and ask that you not include it in any communications with us.
We use personal information to:
We do not use your personal information to make any automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you personally. (See Section 6 regarding how our sports-prediction models work - these generate statistical outputs about sporting events, not automated decisions about you.)
If you have opted in, we may send you marketing communications about SportSphere features or updates. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us. We will still send you non-marketing, service-related communications (e.g. billing notices, security alerts) necessary to administer your account.
Picks, projections, and "conviction" tiers displayed on the Service are generated by an automated statistical model applied to sports data, not by individual human analysts reviewing your account or personal circumstances. No personal information about you is used as an input to these predictions - they are based on sporting data (player statistics, matchup data, bookmaker pricing) only. We disclose this for transparency; it is not an automated decision-making process that is "about" you as an individual.
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
You can disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some features of the Service. We do not currently use cookies for third-party advertising targeting. If this changes, we will update this Policy.
We may disclose personal information to:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Some of our service providers may store or process data on servers located outside Australia (for example, cloud hosting infrastructure). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, as required by APP 8.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email support@sportspherehq.com. We will respond within 30 days. If we decline a request, we will explain why in writing and let you know how to escalate the matter.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, use, modification, or disclosure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law (for example, financial record-keeping obligations). When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.
Data breach notification: if we experience a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the OAIC in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act.
The Service is directed primarily at users in Australia and is governed by Australian law. If you access the Service from outside Australia, you do so on the basis that your personal information will be handled in accordance with this Policy and Australian law. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with its own data protection framework, you may have additional rights under that framework (such as data portability or the right to lodge a complaint with your local regulator); please contact us and we will do our best to assist, noting that our primary compliance framework is Australian law.
The Service is not intended for, and must not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete that information and deactivate the associated account promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "Effective date" at the top will be updated accordingly. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Site.
